Vernita Lane is the wife of Owen Lane Jr, the mother of Darius Paulk, Precious Wilcher, and her bonus son, Kieran Lane. She has a total of four biological grandchildren and three others that are her grandchildren by choice because she loves them like they are her own.   

 

In 1980, she graduated from Coffee High School in Douglas, Georgia. After high school, Vernita went to college to obtain a business degree, but for various reasons was unable to complete her studies. But as someone who loves interacting with other people, she decided to attend Potomac Academy of Hair Design in Maryland. After graduating, she passed the boards on the first try. Currently, she registers patients at a walk-in clinic so they can see a doctor on staff.  

 

Vernita is also a licensed minister at Greater Destiny International Ministry and is very active there. As a mighty prayer warrior, she is the leader of the intercessory team.  One of her favorite sayings is, “You’re going to get something you can’t wash off.” She once got in the shower, hoping to wash off all the guilt, betrayal, and the unfavorable hand she was dealt without her consent. Despite all that, she knows that God allowed her to go through trials so that she would have a testimony to help others.
